DAW means Digital Audio Workstation and is a synonym of Music production software. There are four major components to it which include a computer, sound card, monitor, input devices that help to alter the musical notes- like a keyboard or a midi controller. You can use a mouse or external mixer for mixing the volumes and keep a track of it with MIDI controller keyboard.
